Compagnie des Machines Bull has duly announced its expected tie- in with Intel Corp over the future 64-bit Merced processor (CI No 3,238). In what it styles as a close working relationship with Intel, Bull will work on a series of high-end Windows NT servers using its existing multi-processing and clustering technology as a basis. Bull said it would continue to work with its 17% stakeholder NEC Corp on low and mid-range NT systems.
