The Bull CP8 SA Smart Card arm of Compagnie des Machines Bull SA has joined forces with Philips Electronics NV’s TRT SA to bid for a contract to develop an operating system for Smart Cards for French health workers: the product is due to be developed in 1994 and tested in 1995, and tender should be opened shortly for production of health Smart Cards also for test in 1995.
