Bulgaria has established a new telephone link with the former Jugoslav republic of Macedonia: the system has 300 duplex channels, some of which will be used for transit connections with Zagreb and Istanbul and says the new radio relay is the first stage in the installation of a trans-Balkan trunk line to improve telephone and telex connections between the countries of the Balkans, Western Europe and the Middle East, and also Romania.
