BT’S POSTMASTERS

There is clearly a desperate yearning among the older people in both British Telecom and the Post Office to return to their womb, the old, monolithic General Post Office: while the postmen decided to rename their union the Communications Workers, British Telecom’s engineers for years continued to masquerade as the Post Office Engineering Union, and now the gentleman who administers British Telecom’s Gold electronic mail service has chosen to assume the title of Postmaster.
