British Telecommunications Plc has now won US Federal Communications Commission approval for it to offer an on-net version of its Concert global service in and out of the US, which means it can offer multinational companies a direct, fully-managed link between their offices in the US and elsewhere in the world but it still falls short of international simple resale, which enables it to offer full telephone service to US companies anywhere in the world: it says it hopes to get approval for that before Christmas.
