British Telecommunications Plc announced reductions totaling 214m pounds to the cost of national and international calls. From next month it will cut 20% off the cost of national, over 35 miles, evening and night-time calls during the week, and 10% off the cost of daytime national calls during the week. It also said it would reduce the price of many international calls. British Telecom said the new cuts would bring the total price cuts to more than 1.5bn in just three years.
