British Telecommunications Plc is starting a six-month trial in Perth, Tayside of a new service it calls Call Return, which will tell telephone subscribers the number of the last party that called them, even if the phone was not answered, so you will know whether the caller that hung up just before you were able to lift up the receiver was your mother or the call from Bombay you had been waiting for for days.
