The new style bill was developed by BT Retail in response to customer feedback and contains more detailed but clearer information about rental and call charges, as well as highlighting package benefits and savings.
It is also more environmentally friendly – reducing the amount of paper BT uses and saving money.
The new bill will complement the online internet billing service which BT launched in 1999. Customers can already call up their latest bill on screen, view any bills that are due to be sent out shortly and access copies of previous bills.
