BT REACTS RESPONDS TO LAWSUIT FROM INSAT

By CBR Staff Writer

British Telecommunications Plc, which hadn’t had time to react when we called it on Tuesday, has now responded to that ridiculous lawsuit from Insat Inc demanding $15,000m damages (CI No 884) by saying the suit appeared to be in response to proceedings brought by Telecom’s 51% subsidiary Mitel Corp against the apparent owner of privately-held Insat, New York, adding that the claims against British Telecom appear to be without substance in content or sums claimed.
