Free digital phones are being provided by British Telecommunications Plc to anyone that orders a Meridian 1 switch with Meridian Mail speech processing: the larger the system bought, the more free phones are supplied, up to a maximum of 80; the offer lasts until the end of this month and Meridian 1 options 51, 61 and 71 will be reduced in price until the end of 1993 in an effort to promote the advantages of speech processing using Meridian Mail and if additional line cards are needed, these will be available at a specially discounted price; the company says there will also be a 15% discount on Meridian 1 Agentphone, a hands-free multi-line feature phone for Automatic Call Distribution and CallCentre operations.
