BT Infonet signs three-year contract with Volkswagen

Communications firm BT Infonet has signed a three-year contract to provide managed network services for automobile manufacturing giant Volkswagen.

Under the terms of the deal, Volkswagen will continue to operate its 200-site worldwide communications network with BT Infonet, extending and adding scope to an eight-year partnership with the company and its services, including Internet, Mobility and MultiMedia.

According to BT Infonet, Volkswagen chose its technology for its ability to deliver customizable software to meet the carmaker’s communications requirements.
