BT, FRANCE TELECOM DOING ATM THE TOSHIBA WAY

British Telecommunications Plc, France Telecom SA and other telecoms companies are reportedly licensing Toshiba Corp’s Cell asynchronous transfer mode switch routing technology. Nihon Keizai Shimbun reports Toshiba has created a computer network product division with 250 staff to license the technology to telecom carriers, sell related equipment, and build networks for customers. It will also supply cell switch router products on an OEM basis
