British Telecommunications Plc has expanded its Global Network Services to Mexico, signing an interconnection agreement with Telefonica Y Conmutacion Digital SA to provide the service via Telefonica’s VSAT network; the managed and value-added data networking service currently operates on an end-to-end basis in 21 countries; in Mexico, it is initially to be available through nodes in Mexico city, Monterey and Guadalajara, with six more cities to be added by the end of the year: other new nodes owned and operated by British Telecom that have recently been added to the network include Dunda, Ontario, Halifax and Nova Scotia in Canada, Marseille and Toulouse, France, Neuchatel in Switzerland, Bremen, Germany, Turin in Italy and Aukland, New Zealand.
