The scope of the contract is to deliver and manage a global virtual private network using multi-protocol label switching services connecting more than 1,000 sites worldwide.
The service includes multimedia voice and video running across the network, as well as the rollout of managed audio conferencing services. The agreement also covers the management of secure inbound and outbound internet traffic using BT’s Managed Firewall service.
The agreement supports Nestle’s Global Business Excellence program. It includes a flexible and innovative global service level agreement jointly developed by BT and Nestle to support the requirements of the contract across all services.
This contract will mark more than 15 years of relationship with Nestle, initiated through BT Infonet, commented Francois Barrault, CEO of BT Global Services. It demonstrates Nestle’s ongoing confidence in BT’s commitment to deliver service improvements and a wide range of additional capabilities.
