According to 2Wire, the 2Wire HomePortal 2701HGV is a TR-069 standard-compliant intelligent residential gateway that features simplified self-installation, an advanced ADSL2+ modem, an ethernet network interface, a HyperG wireless router for whole-home wireless coverage, support for internet telephony to enable a robust voice and data solution, and a professional grade firewall for enhanced security.
The gateway also enables multiple users to wirelessly share access to the internet while sharing files, printers, and networked applications with every networked device in the home.
