Oxford, UK-based SkyNet installs and supports networks based on Cisco products. It specializes in IP communications, wireless networks content delivery, and network security. The company employs 59 people, and in 2004 it made sales of 21.7m pounds ($41.3m), generating an operating profit of 1.5m pounds ($2.9m).
The company will operate as a subsidiary of BT, and will be renamed BTSkyNet.
