Little known Dutch software engineering and services company BSO/Origin BV has turned itself around from being a loss-making to profit-making concern on reporting 1994 year end figures of $5.9m against a loss of $3.2m last time on turnover up 17.7% at $521m. The company which comprises a Dutch arm known as BSO/Beheer BV and an international division, Origin, saw international markets account for just over 50% of turnover. Sales from continuing operations in the Netherlands rose 6% to $259.6m. The financial year saw a period of expansion in which the company’s head-count grew 13% to 5,610. The company declined to comment on the figures but says it anticipates future turnover will exceed market growth and its profitability will continue.
