Brooktree Corp, San Diego communications chip is cutting its workforce by about 6% and is taking a reserve to cover the cost of reorganising its automatic test equipment division, and with sales for the second quarter of fiscal 1994 slightly below the levels for the first quarter, it will make a loss.
