BRODERBUND SHARES JUMP ON TALK OF NEW GAME

Broderbund Software Inc, the Novato, California games supplier, saw its shares jump 12% to $2.65 last week on talk of the Riven successor to Myst, expected in September. Broderbund raised wholesale prices recently, and this should feed through to the company’s bottom line from this quarter. For the first nine months, Broderbund’s income was $5.4m on $145m revenues.
