BRODERBUND, ELECTRONIC ARTS CALL THE WHOLE THING OFF

Electronic Arts Inc and Broderbund Software Inc yesterday agreed to call the whole thing off and end their merger agreement because the Broderbund board felt the terms undervalued it given recent trading prices of the two. Broderbund will pay $10m for its release from the agreements after the two firms failed to see eye to eye on new terms.
