Hong Kong TV executives claim that the Hong Kong government is delaying the implementation of digital television in the former UK colony. The South China Morning Post reports that local terrestrial broadcasters, Asia Television (ATV) and Television Broadcasts (TVB) as well as the Radio Association of Hong Kong are keen to promote the take-up of digital broadcasting. Hong Kong has not set a definite date for commencing digital broadcasts on the Island.
