BRITISH TELECOM’S MAJORITY-OWNED CELLNET IS INVESTING SOME UKP100,000 IN THE BRITISH LAWN TENNIS ASSOCIATION

British Telecom’s majority-owned Cellnet is investing some UKP100,000 in the British Lawn Tennis Association: Cellnet says the sponsorship, apart from generally promoting the brand name, will appeal to the tennis club type that it is trying to attract to its mobile phone user base; marketing director Steven Brewer linked the quality of British Tennis with quality issue surrounding Cellnet, and said that both had to do better in future.
