British Telecommunications Plc and Viag AG yesterday duly revealed details of their alliance to win a slice of the $30,000m a year German market, forming a joint venture, Viag InterKom KG in which each will hold 37.5%. The venture will require an upfront investment of at least $1,000m, and would demand considerably more if the venture finally wins a full telecommunications operator’s licence in Germany.
