British Telecommunications Plc’s BT Tymnet Inc has been chosen by Motorola Inc to support the CoveragePlus system long-distance vehicle communications system: under the $15m three-year contract, Tymnet will support the US-wide data needs of the voice and data vehicle-tracking network; subscribers to the service are expected to include private trucking fleets, common carriers, construction fleets, field servicers, hazardous waste handlers and government agencies.
