British Telecommunications Plc has rejected the Office of Telecommunications’ proposals on who should pay for reprogramming exchanges for number portability. The rejection means that the issue will now have to be decided by the Monopolies & Mergers Commission. The company accepted the other major Oftel proposals for the modifications to its licence.
