British Telecom has cut prices by an average of 8% on its digital lease lines to the US: there will now be a single set of prices for these lease lines regardless of whether the transmission media is cable or satellite; under the price changes, which come into effect from January 1 1990, a yearly contract for 64Kbps lines will cost UKP30,000 and an annual contract for a 1.5Mbps line will cost UKP300,000.
