British Telecommunications Plc will integrate Inktomi Corp’s Traffic Server network cache into its next-generation internet services. The agreement extends an existing infrastructure alliance between the companies. BT Internet’s LineOne uses Inktomi’s search engine and BT hosts Inktomi’s European search operations. The expanded deal is part of BT’s plan to become the largest integrator of internet traffic in the UK.
