BRITISH OLIVETTI TO LAUNCH INTO THE PABX MARKET

By CBR Staff Writer

It’s taken a whole lot longer than the company expected, but British Olivetti is still in the preparatory stage of launching into the PABX market here with and adapted version of AT&T Co’s System 75: the exchange is currently undergoing approvals procedure and Olivetti hopes to be able to launch it by the end of the year, when it will initially go after multinational companies; Olivetti will not initially be offering the British Telecom DPNSS standard for advanced private network switching facilities but has plans to add it later.
