Still no word on the M500 and M800 Micro Channel Architecture boxes, but British Olivetti Ltd has the M111, the first in its range of portable personal computers: the M111’s NEC V30 microprocessor runs at 10MHz, has 640Kb RAM and 64Kb ROM BIOS as standard, as well as serial, parallel and mouse interfaces, a slot for an optional 8087 co-processor, and a system memory that may be expanded to 1.6Mb using a 1Mb memory module; the M111 will be available in March in two configurations offering either twin 3.5 floppies or a single 3.5 floppy and a fast 20Mb hard disk.
