Vancouver, British Columbia-based British Columbia Telephone Co is clearly ashamed of its origins: it says its board has approved a group reorganisation that will create a holding company to called BC Telecom Inc; the operating company will change its legal name from British Columbia Telephone Co to BC Tel.
