NCR Corp has unveiled its drive-through Automated Teller Machine in the UK, enabling users to get cash from the bank without getting out of their car. The first Drive-Thru ATM unit will be installed at London’s Heathrow airport, and a six-month trial will be conducted with Barclays Bank Plc. The company has already shipped around 5,000 of the units in the US, where research carried out for NCR shows consumers are 20% more likely to use an ATM they can use from their cars, than one they approach on foot.
