BricsNet NV, the Gent, Belgium supplier of design software and online services to the construction industry, plans further US expansion in its fourth quarter. It also intends to build on its vertical portal sites for the building industry in several countries, with the launch of bricsnet.com, which it intends to be a groundbreaking e-commerce site for the building industry.
In the third quarter to September 30, Bricsnet made a loss of 2.7m euros ($2.7m), down from income of 109,000 euros ($110,060) in the same quarter last year, on revenue that increased 124.1% to $1.2m euros ($1.2m). The company cautions that restructuring following its IPO in June makes direct comparisons immaterial.
