B&Q MOVES ITS IBM 3090 TO CHANDLERS FORD

B&Q, the Do-It-Yourself subsidiary of Woolworth Group Plc, has moved its IBM 3090 from Southampton to its new headquarters in Chandlers Ford; during the move, all the company’s computer processing was carried out on a 3090 at Thorn EMI Plc’s Datasolve Ltd’s Datashield Sunbury-On-Thames, West London-based disaster recovery operation.
