BP TO FLOAT PART OF SCICON ON STOCK EXCHANGE?

Another strong piece of market gossip is that British Petroleum Plc, BP, will float a part of the equity of its Scicon International computer services subsidiary on the London Stock Exchange to give the company more visibility and to provide share option incentives – similar to the way Martin Marietta floated 25% of Hoskyns Group; evidence is that all the Scicon top brass, home and transatlantic have been summonsed to a meeting with BP top brass in London next week.
