The Bouygues Telecom SA subsidiary of the Bouygues SA construction conglomerate, reckons it will have 1997 sales of about $192m against $30.8m this year, said managing director Patrick Leleu. According to Reuter in Paris, he says that the company expects to have 300,000 subscribers by the end of 1997, compared with 60,700 at the end of October, and it expects to add 90,000 to that by the year-end. Our aim remains to take a 20% market share at end 2000 when the market is estimated to be between 7 million and 8 million users, he said. The network should cover 90% of the French population, against some 20% now, and to achieve this, investments will be $385m in 1996 and $580m in 1997 after $192m in 1995.
