Bouygues SA has decided to accelerate investment in its cellular network made by its Bouygues Telecom SA unit. It now expects 2 million subscribers in a total market of 9 million by the year 2000, while it previously said it wanted to have 1.5 million in a market it put at 7 million. As a result, the company has a maximum financing need of $4.6bn, of which $1.6bn will be in equity and near-equity and the balance in a syndicated bank loan.
