Boston Technology Inc is riding the wave of Brazilian telecoms, winning several big contracts from the Telebras Telephone Group of Brazil. The first is a $10m order from Telecomunicacoes de Rio De Janeiro SA, increasing Boston’s share of the Brazilian wireless voice mailbox market to 80%, and operating through its Brazilian subsidiary, Computel & Boston Technology SA, the company will deploy voice messaging services for wireless subscribers in Rio de Janeiro. Boston has also chalked up a second contract, worth about $4m, via NEC do Brasil to provide Telecomunicacoes de Sao Paulo SA with voice systems for its wireless network.
