The company plans to use the technology to link its worldwide employees. Its existing product data management (PDM) systems will also be integrated on to the MatrixOne platform.
Bosch hopes the implementation will integrate the mechanics, electronics and software industries on an enterprise product data view that is automatically updated with the latest information. This is expected to help the firm develop products on-time and on-budget.
Bosch said it also hopes to create an e-sourcing platform for project purchasing based on the MatrixOne PLM Platform, which will increase the recycling of information, parts and components in an effort to reduce costs and improve product quality.
