Borland International Inc has finally shipped its first Java development tools, JBuilder Professional and JBuilder Standard. The product, which is seen as crucial for the beleaguered company’s future survival was due in the first quarter but slipped to the third. It supports 100% Pure Java, JDK 1.1 and Java Beans Oracle Corp has licensed the tool for inclusion with its databases and will also resell JBuilder. Available now, The Professional version costs $300 and the Standard $100.
