BORLAND LICENCES APPSOFT TO TAKE OVER POWERSTEP

Borland International Inc has licensed Redwood City, California-based Appsoft Inc to take over development of the PowerStep spreadsheet created by Ashton-Tate to run on NeXT Computer Inc machines: Appsoft plans to complete development of the product and release it in the fourth quarter; the company publishes productivity software for the NeXT Computer System, and any 80486 machines that may run NeXTStep in the future.
