Borland International Inc of Scotts Valley has turned to Monterey, California-based DeltaPoint Inc for Web development technology for use in future add-on Internet tools for Borland’s Visual dBase object-oriented database for professional database developers. With DeltaPoint’s Web technology, Visual dBase can be extended to be an ideal Intranet application development tool, Borland reckons. The company is taking part of DeltaPoint QuickSite’s HyperText Mark-up Language page publishing engine under the agreement. Visual dBase’s Internet tools are a set of object that are being designed to enable developers to create interactive database applications for the World Wide Web and corporate Intranets.
