Tele-Save Holdings Inc chairman and CEO Daniel Borislow is a sadder, wiser – and considerably richer – man as he tucks into his Thanksgiving turkey this weekend. He has just learned that his bid for ACC Corp has been unsuccessful after the company agreed to merge with Teleport Communications Group. And only last week, he abandoned plans to acquire Shared Technologies Fairchild Inc after it agreed to be taken over by Intermedia Communications Inc. Defeated perhaps but Borislow is not disheartened. Maybe, I should compete against the institutional investors and open up a Tekecom Fund. Every telecom company is now hoping that I make a bid on them, he says.
