Boole & Babbage Inc says it has won two significant contracts with a combined value of $3m each for its MainView and Command MQ systems management tools running on parallel sysplex mainframes. But the San Jose, California-based firm isn’t naming the customers. One is a major US aerospace manufacturer, which will deploy the two products over multiple data centers and a large corporate network to provide performance and operations management for its parallel sysplex mainframes and MQSeries networks and applications. The other is one of the largest financial institutions in Germany which will use the software to synchronize financial transactions between multiple banks.
