The Boeing Co has chosen Dell Computer Corp as its supplier for desktop and notebook PCs, along with other services, in a three year agreement. The number of PCs likely to be purchased under the deal has been left open – but Boeing has some 175,000 PCs already in use throughout the organization. Boeing will be evaluating additional Dell products as they are introduced, as part of the pact. Dell will also provide services such as custom software image loading and asset tagging through its DellPlus integration unit.
