Bank of China International (BOCI) has implemented GL Stream to support its operations in Hong Kong, New York and London, to automate the passage of order flow from these distributed sales desks to the central trading desk in Hong Kong.

GL Stream offers a range of trading and order management features, including order life cycle management, program trading, FIX client connectivity and allocation. It also offers order routing capabilities and market data to the Hong Kong Exchange.

We have seen an increase in volumes and needed to automate the interaction between our traders and sales desks around the world. Automation is the key to improving productivity since it reduces the potential for errors which is inherent when re-keying orders from distributed sources, noted John Lau, BOCI executive director. GL Stream gives us the flexibility and capacity to optimize the sales to trader relationship and the potential to diversify to other markets, e.g. China. This ultimately means a better service offering to our customers and that is our main goal.

With the implementation, BOCI has also become the first client to adopt the GL Trade front to back solution in ASP mode.
