BOARDROOM DISAGREEMENT AT MICROVITEC

After P-E and DPCE, another boardroom disagreement, this time at low-end colour monitor and terminal manufacturer Microvitec Plc of Bradford, which has seen co-founder and chairman Dr Tony Martinez OBE depart: 27% shareholder Dr Martinez declined the offer of a specially created post of president, and he has been replaced as chairman by non-executive director David Burnet; ; managing director Paul Dhesi says that the company is in a strong financial position and has a healthy order book following the introduction of new products earlier this year; half time pre-tax profits to June 30, announced recently, fell 28.2% to UKP525,000.
