Blyth Holdings Inc, Foster City, California developer of the Omnis 7 client-server development environment, which embraces Windows, Mac, Unix and AS/400, is in trouble. It has slashed its worldwide workforce by about 25% under a restructuring and cost-reduction programme. The company is shedding 43 employees, and looks to reduce fixed costs to $4.2m a quarter from about $5.9m.
