Mobile messaging and groupware specialist Zarafa said that the Brazilian software security company BluePex will integrate its open source collaboration platform into their appliance solutions stack.

Zarafa said that its platform will be added as the only groupware messaging system to the BluePex’ product range. BluePex will offer Zarafa’s software to all existing, more than 1000 customers, via 300 partners.

According to Zarafa, BluePex has decided to replace its current mail offering with its platform to meet the demand of its customers for a collaboration platform that offers stable Outlook integration and WebAccess. It also provides customers the benefit of smartphone support and full integration with the Blackberry Enterprise Server.
