Blue Coat upgrades Spyware Interceptor to catch phish

Security outfit Blue Coat Systems Inc has announced a new version of its Spyware Interceptor appliance for SMEs.

By CBR Staff Writer

The upgrade includes protection against phishing, or the mass distribution of spoofed or forged e-mail messages that can appear to originate from legitimate organizations.

It’s the first major update to the proxy appliance since its release in June.

Sunnyvale, California-based Blue Coat also said the new version included real-time reporting, additional details on the number of detected and blocked events, including a view of which clients were infected.
