Blue Agave and Verisign integrate RFID products

Supply chain software firm Blue Agave and VeriSign are looking at ways to integrate RFID product tracking and point of sale data to modernize logistical planning techniques in the consumer goods market.

The companies are hoping their combined solution will provide consumer goods manufacturers with real-time insight into demand, down to the most granular levels of store and product sales. According to the companies, this would then allow for the creation of new and more accurate predictive modeling software that would eliminate revenue impacting issues such as being out of stock or suffering from excess inventory.

Our customers understand that employing demand-driven replenishment processes is a significant competitive differentiator within the increasingly challenging retail landscape, said Jim Morganstern of Blue Agave Software.

VeriSign’s proven platform for retail data management ensures that our customers have access to timely and accurate POS data, while also building a foundation for value from emerging product movement data from RFID.
